World’s toughest sheriff to take on world’s best arm wrestler at Rugby Bowl

Travis Bagent

ItTravis Bagent may not be Pacquiao vs. Mayweather but it will be a match-up of two of the world’s self-proclaimed tough guys.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio will take on ESPN star and the world’s best arm wrestler Travis Bagent, April 18, at the Rugby Bowl in Scottsdale, according to a news release.

“I hear Arpaio is the ‘World’s Toughest Sheriff.’ Well, I’m the baddest arm wrestler in the land,” Bagent said. “I haven’t decided if I’m going to take it easy on him quite yet. It might be a better match to have some of his prisoners take me on.”

This year’s rugby event has expanded to include Arizona State University, Ohio State, University of Southern California, Grand Canyon University and the Arizona high school championships, the release said. Phoenix Fashion Week is producing a “Warning Track” fashion show as part of the festivities as well.
