Arizona could use some improvement.
At least that’s the case when it comes to infrastructure, a report says.
The American Society of Civil Engineers has released its 2015 Report Card for Arizona’s Infrastructure, and the state has scored an overall grade of C.
The organization graded the state on nine infrastructure types, faring worst in the roads category with a D+. Arizona scored Cs in six categories, including: drinking water, dams, wastewater, levees, rail and transit.
The report stated that some of Arizona’s infrastructure needs attention for both today and the future.
“Many of our systems are starting to show signs of wear across the state from aging and tight budgets that didn’t allow for the maintenance that would have expanded their useful service life,” the report said.
