ARMLS: Median price for solar home in Phoenix up 5%

Solar homes in Maricopa County held their own when compared to comparable homes during the month of April 2015 according to recent data from the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (ARMLS).

While Phoenix solar homes only accounted for 1.3 percent of the total single-family home sales in Maricopa, there were a verified 83 solar homes that sold in the county in April. Homes with a solar lease (whether monthly lease payments or prepaid monthly solar leases) accounted for 54 of the 83 sales (65%, up about 10 percent from the previous month) while homes with solar-owned electric systems accounted for the balance of 29 solar home sales in April 2015.
