Florence Town Council member Montaño resigns

Ruben Montaño, a Florence Town Council member for nearly three years, submitted his resignation from the council effective May 1.

Montaño has accepted a new job as an administrator with the Arizona Department of Corrections, which will require him to be out of town during the day and some evening hours as well, he wrote in a letter to the council, town staff and the Florence community.
