Furst Properties has promoted Tammy Gibbons to vice president of property management, overseeing the firm’s 661,000-square-foot portfolio of Class A commercial office buildings in Scottsdale.
Gibbons, who oversees nine staff members, ensures the buildings stand out from other Class A office properties in the Valley, provides frequent communication with tenants and strengthens the firm’s customer service practices which keep occupancy at 90 percent.
Furst Properties’ portfolio includes six buildings in the Kierland area and the Pinnacle in Perimeter Center building near the TPC Scottsdale championship golf courses.
Portfolio tenants include Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Capital Group, Northern Trust, Nuverra Environmental Solutions, United Rentals and U.S. Bank. Furst Properties exclusively manages properties owned by Austin Furst, an entrepreneur and developer.
Gibbons has 17 years of real estate experience at Furst Properties. She previously served as the firm’s senior property manager for five years.
“I approach property management the same way I care for my home and family,” Gibbons said. “I respond to requests quickly, continuously plan upgrades and ensure the environment contributes to a high quality of life.”
Gibbons has worked her way up after starting her career at Furst Properties in 1998 as a part-time day porter providing basic maintenance services.
“Tammy has excellent relationships with our tenants and provides exemplary customer service,” said Austin Furst, president of Furst Properties. “As a long-time employee who has served in almost every role available at Furst Properties, Tammy has always risen to the occasion and demonstrated her leadership.”
Gibbons is a member of the Kierland Masters Association’s Design Review Committee, a group advising the planning of business development in the Kierland area. She lives in Scottsdale with her husband, Tom, of 25 years. They have four children and three grandchildren.
