Last month, the Prescott Valley Community Development Department issued the most building permits for residential starts since the housing market crumbled in 2007.
The number of building permits being issued in PV have been on a steady upward trend for about nine months now, with close to 40 on average per month, according to Richard Parker, director of Prescott Valley community development.
In April, the department cracked the 50-mark with 52 building permits issued for residential starts. “This is the largest number that we’ve seen for the last eight-plus years,” Parker said. “It means the market is improving.”
