Safeway is closing two Arizona stores and cutting 94 jobs.
The grocery chain will close a store near 67th Avenue and Peoria Avenue in Peoria as well as one off U.S. 60 in Globe. The two stores will close next month, according to a Safeway spokeswoman.
The grocery is working to transfer some of the impacted employees to other locations. Safeway has another store in Globe and two others in Peoria.
