Suburban life long has been known as the domain of the married couple with 2.5 kids.
But apparently several of Phoenix suburbs have a lot going for them for the millennial generation, which tend toward more urban lifestyles. That’s at least according to real estate blog Movoto, which ranked the top 10 Phoenix suburbs for millennials.
At the top is family-friendly Gilbert, which boasts a median household income of more than $80,000. Movoto cites the town’s up-and-coming downtown area, which is home to a number of cool new restaurants and shops.
“Downtown has so many choices of eateries, shops, a farmers market, with a family atmosphere that cannot be found in any other Phoenix suburb,” said Ron DeCoste, a local real estate agent quoted in Movoto’s blog post about the ranking.
