3 candidates in race for Phoenix mayor

The candidates are in and Mayor Greg Stanton will face Anna Brennan, a former candidate for mayor, and Matt Jette, a former candidate for governor and Congress, in the Aug. 25 election.

The city clerk is expected to certify the list of candidates on July 6. The election will take place Aug. 25 with early voting beginning July 30.

Brennan ran for this position once before in 2011. She’s a Republican, business owner, registered nurse and immigrant from Italy who became a citizen in 1992.
