Billboards returning to Glendale planning agenda

As the Glendale Planning Commission prepares to hear for a second time in less than a year a presentation from Becker Boards, citizens have begun preparing for a battle they thought was well over.

Citizens met at a public meeting May 27 in Peoria to get an update from Peoria Vice-Mayor Jon Edwards on the plan being presented June 2 to the Glendale Planning Commission.

“I was invited by Ken and Kathy Watt to attend a meeting they hosted at their house to discuss the proposed billboards near Peoria homes,” Edwards said. “I was there to bring the residents up to speed on the project.”
