The Cowtown monitor has been measuring air quality at its present location near a cattle yard for years.
Pinal County will be relocating the Cowtown air-quality monitor at land owner’s request.
The monitor collects air quality data to determine the pollution levels Maricopa residents are breathing. It has been collecting data from its current location near Murphy Road and the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway for over a decade. However, the private land owners would like to find a better use for the area.
