Over the past few weeks, that enigma that is the Coyotes has been back in the news as Vice-mayor Ian Hugh has discussed the possibility of voiding the arena management deal with IceArizona (owners of the Coyotes).
Does the city have any chance to have the arena management deal with IceArizona voided on the basis, as Hugh said the cities payment was going right to Fortress Investment Group. While not against the contract, it states that the owner can identify where the payment went, Hugh’s argument was that the money was not being used for actual arena management.
