How big will the West Valley grow? Officials comment

The Republic regularly asks West Valley leaders to share their thoughts on issues, and this week’s question is on population growth.

Peoria, Buckeye and Goodyear will pursue a mid-decade Census this summer to obtain an accurate population count to get a larger piece of state funding.

This week’s question: What is your best guess at your city’s current population and where do you expect it to be in 2020? What area presents the greatest challenge for growth and how is your city preparing?
