Arizona Supreme Court Justice Rebecca White Berch is going to retire this year, court spokeswoman Heather Murphy confirmed today.
Berch, 59, spoke publicly about her retirement today to a group of second- and third-year law students who toured the court.
Berch declined to be interviewed for this story because she has yet to submit her letter of resignation to Gov. Doug Ducey, but Murphy said Berch is probably going to retire in September.
Murphy said Berch told the law students she hasn’t decided yet what she wants to do after leaving the bench.
