It occurs to me many of the vociferous opponents of the Central Arizona College tax hike seem to be of the NIMBY type (not in my backyard). They remind me of the folks who move to Arizona to enjoy the wide open spaces, then complain about developments. “Hey, I got mine but you can’t get yours, go back home.” As professionals, I have no doubt many of the recall bunch are college-educated people who worked hard to get ahead and thanks to the generous educational opportunities our country provides, benefited from many public universities and colleges.
