Bruce Gardner has been appointed as the Assistant Town Manager for the Town of Queen Creek, effective on June 15. Gardner has been serving as the Interim Assistant Town Manager since January. Gardner started with the Town in 2007 as the Human Resources Director and Division Manager. In 2010, he was appointed the Workforce and Information Technology Director.

With more than 20 years in the public sector, his experience includes human resources, information technology and risk management. Prior to working with the Town of Queen Creek, Gardner was the Human Resources Administrator for the City of Tempe. Gardner holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a Masters in Public Administration, both from Arizona State University.
Gardner has a variety of professional accomplishments, including serving as the Western Region President in 2014-2015 for the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR) and the Arizona Chapter President from 2011-2012. Additionally, he holds a Certified Professional Executive Designation (IPMA-CP) in Human Resources. He is a member of the National Public Employers Labor Relations Association, American Arbitration Association, with a mediation certificate, and a member of the Boys Scouts of American.
