Surprise is officially out of the bond election process for 2015, and perhaps for several years.
Councilman Todd Tande wanted to have one more discussion of a potential November bond vote at Tuesday’s council meeting while the window to call for an election remained open.
Tande presented his argument for seeking a bond now — be it a $60.4 million measure or an $82.4 million total package split into three voter questions. But when Mayor Sharon Wolcott, Vice Mayor John Williams and council members Jim Biundo, Skip Hall and Rachel Villanueva voiced their opposition, Tande declined to bring the matter to a council vote.
