ASU not pressing opposition to Tempe high-rises, city says

Arizona State University and school President Michael Crow have said their piece about a proposed high-rise complex in downtown Tempe but don’t appear to be pressing any more opposition to the development.

Crow and ASU had voiced concerns about Opus Development Co.’s plans for a three-building complex that would include apartments and a hotel. The tallest building could be 20 stories, according to development plans and reports.

Crow wrote the city of Tempe citing worries about the height of the buildings.
