If campaign contributions are any indication, Yucca district Councilmember Sammy Chavira has found some generous supporters who apparently appreciate his service on the city council.
The political committee known as Chavira for Glendale received $5,000 in contributions from late November through the end of May, even though the councilmember’s re-election is 16 months away, according to his latest campaign finance report.
Chavira is the only member of the council who has not been publicly threatened with a recall election slated for November or March.
