It looks like the Glendale City Council has experienced yet another bone-jarring lurch in its volatile relationship with the Arizona Coyotes.
Looks may be deceiving.
Rapidly unfolding events leading to a council vote on a new agreement Friday morning may suggest a warming in the formerly frigid relationship between Glendale elected leaders and the owners of the Coyotes.
In addition to both sides dropping legal challenges, Glendale would pay the Coyotes less for its management services. Considerably less. The $15 million annual payment would be reduced to $6.5 million.
