As if the Arizona Coyotes needed another controversy, the New York Post produced a scorcher last week: A story declaring, without attribution, that the long-troubled Glendale-based National Hockey League franchise was about to depart the desert for … another desert.
Moses didn’t have it this bad.
According to the Post story, the Coyotes are about to be sold to a new owner who will promptly move the team to Las Vegas for the 2016-17 season. At least they wouldn’t have to change the logo designs or the nickname.
