Gilbert advances congregate care facility

DeRito Partners and Spectrum Retirement Communities will build a 168-unit, 160KSF congregate care facility on a six-acre portion of a site at the southeast corner of Val Vista Drive and Queen Creek Road in Gilbert. The site will be the first project on a 24.93 gross/19.88 net acre site controlled by DeRito.

The facility will offer, “A mix of assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care,” according to the Gilbert Planning Commission staff report. Sixty-five employees and staff members will provide resident care and service and the memory care unit will be secured for patient safety.
