In what would be the firm’s third commercial office project in Chandler, J.F. McKinney + Associates in Chicago, Ill. (Jack McKinney, pres.) is working on plans to develop a Class A office complex that is estimated to cost $100 million to build. The proposed office-retail project, which will need zoning approval in Chandler, is targeted for a 18.56-acre site at the northwest corner of Alma School Road and the 202 Loop (San Tan Freeway). A company formed by McKinney and Jason Chapman in Phoenix paid $7.01 + million ($9.15 per foot) to acquire the parcel. The seller was HHB V LLC in Chandler (Abdul Rahman Jazzar, manager). Maricopa County records show JF McKinney & Associates of Arizona LLC (McKinney/Chapman entity) acquired the land in a cash sale. The buyer was represented by Mike McQuaid, Mike Garlick and Chris Krewson of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank in Phoenix. The seller was represented by Jeremy Lovejoy, Matt Rinzler and Brian Stillman of Insight Land & Investments in Scottsdale. McKinney says the company has hired DAVIS in Tempe to design the project, which will include 350,000 + sq. ft. of office space and two or three pads for complimentary retail and commercial uses.
