National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman and Arizona Coyotes President, CEO and co-owner Anthony LeBlanc are strongly denying a New York Post report that the team will be sold and move to Las Vegas.
“The Post was told the story was completely untrue. They ran it anyway. The story is garbage. Team is staying put,” Bettman said in a statement.
The Post story cites unnamed sources who expect the NHL team to be sold to billionaire William Foley and play in arena being built by MGM Resorts.
LeBlanc also blasted the story.
