The future of a prime piece of northeast Mesa real estate known as Parcel 51 is again up for debate.
Developers are pushing to use about 14 acres of the property, part of high-end master-planned community Las Sendas, for a senior-living and memory-care campus.
Zoning attorney Reese Anderson called the project “an absolutely perfect fit” for the area. City officials aren’t so sure.
Years ago, Mesa and Las Sendas residents went head to head in a protracted battle over the overarching plan for the property.
