Appeal ruling expected on casino referendum

The political committees seeking to force referendums on the reversal at City Hall that favored a tribal casino within Glendale’s boundaries were not deterred by their loss in court and are awaiting a ruling from the Court of Appeals.

Mary R. O’Grady and other attorneys at the Phoenix law firm Osborn Maledon filed an appeal brief Feb. 6 for Neighbors for a Better Glendale, No More Bad Deals for Glendale and Respect the Promise, which are committees chaired by Gary Hirsch.
