Commercial solar installers adapt to changing industry

Rob Dallal moved to sunny Scottsdale from dreary London in 2009 to lead Natural Power and Energy LLC because he thought solar power was a no-brainer in Arizona.

But after incentives to help lower the cost of commercial solar went away in 2012, the CEO saw the state’s commercial solar industry change dramatically.

“We went from a state that had the most potential to the state that is one of the most anti-solar, and it’s a real shame,” said Dallal, who has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Cambridge University.
