Hotel Monroe redevelopment in downtown Phoenix looks to open in December

Redevelopment of a long empty historic downtown Phoenix building is closing in on the finish line.

Minneapolis-based CSM Corp. is rehabilitating the 13-story Professional Building at Central Avenue into a 170-room Hilton Garden Inn.

CSM Vice President of Operations Robb Hall said the hotel is slated for soft opening in December with an official unveiling in 2016.

“It is progressing,” said Hall of ongoing construction.
