From the Rose Law Group Reporter Growlery/By Phil Riske
For many years, Clay Thompson at The Arizona Republic has wittily written about the oddities in society and has answered questions I often pose.
I wrote several columns growling about loud commercials and how we, the audience, have to police the media and fill out a lengthy form to file complaints.
Despite regulations prohibiting commercials louder than programs, nothing has changed. In another attempt to keep the issue alive, I’ll turn this over to Clay.
You sit down to watch your favorite TV program, adjust the volume to just the right level, and the commercial comes on so loud it knocks you out of your chair. I thought the FCC had established some kind of regulations to stop this nonsense.
I don’t believe it really knocks you off your chair. If it does, I would recommend seat belts.
