Arizona leaders addressed federal transportation officials Monday

Phoenix is one of 11 cities hosting forums for the report “Beyond Traffic”

Business growth, social equality and urban mobility are regional priorities

Investing in transportation for business growth, social equality and an aging population are infrastructure priorities for the Arizona “Sun Corridor,” leaders from around the state told federal officials Monday.

The U.S. Department of Transportation chose Phoenix as one of 11 cities to host a forum collecting feedback on “Beyond Traffic,” a report looking at the nation’s transportation future over the next three decades. Phoenix and Tucson anchor the Sun Corridor “mega region” identified by the department.
