The State Board of Education filed suit as promised today to force Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas to follow its orders.
The suit, filed in Maricopa County Superior Court, is asking a judge to order Douglas to give the board’s investigators remote access to teacher files and redirect traffic from the board’s previous page on the Department of Education Website to a new Website the board set up when it moved offices in May.
Douglas has ignored directives from the board to do both. Meanwhile, Douglas is appealing a judge’s decision in July not to get involved in a lawsuit she initiated against the board.
