Whose alleyway is it anyway?

That’s the central question behind a dispute between the owner of downtown’s Paramount Theatre and the city of Casa Grande’s Planning and Development Department.

Debbie Martin claims she assumed the alleyway extending behind her theater was included in the property when she purchased it in 1993.

The city disagrees, arguing the alleyway has always been considered public property since the city vacated a portion of it to the Paramount Theatre sometime previously.
