Casa Grande man sheds White House run for city council

“Start smaller” is the lesson Roger Jewell said he learned when he decided to end his run for president of the United States earlier this year.

The Casa Grande resident set aside his ambitions for national office and declared his candidacy for Casa Grande City Council last month. He said he wants to be a voice for the city’s poorer population and has big ideas to improve the quality of life for city residents.
