Flagstaff resident Lisa Hutchinson received an unwelcome surprise in her mail in July: a notice from the city of Flagstaff stating that she had 10 days to repair the city sidewalk in front of her business property on Lake Mary Road.
“I wasn’t aware that property owners are responsible for replacing or repairing the sidewalk in front their homes and businesses,” she said. “I thought that’s what we paid taxes for.”
