Arizona Public Service (APS) finally made a smart move.
Last week, it said it will withdraw a request to raise rates on solar customers if regulators will study whether those customers are being subsidized by residents without solar panels.
That’s a study that needs to be done before the utility’s next rate case, scheduled for next year. The Arizona Corporation Commission should have no trouble agreeing to the request.
