Before the chaos caused by a resolution for Christian-only prayer Monday, the Coolidge City Council made another decision that could have a long-term impact on the city.
In a 4-2 vote, the council decided against continuing its $18,000 a year membership in Access Arizona, a regional economic development agency that also represents Casa Grande, Eloy and Pinal County. Formerly known as Central Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation, the organization works at finding, recruiting and retaining businesses in its member jurisdictions.
