Based on data from the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, 214 out of 1,680 total housing permits were issued in Phoenix in June, making it the most active city in the Valley that month and so far in 2015. Gilbert trails closely behind.
The latest Belfiore Real Estate Consulting data shows there are 72 actively selling subdivisions in the City of Phoenix.
D.R. Horton’s Courtyards at Vinsanto was the bestselling Phoenix subdivision as of July 31, 2015. D.R. Horton also had the highest sales volume Phoenix-wide. Closely behind was Taylor Morrison’s Desert Wind Discovery followed by KB Home’s Alcantara Villas.
D.R. Horton includes a variety of features in their homes. The bestselling floorplan at Courtyards at Vinsanto is the Rice Plan 2. It has 1,536 square feet, two bedroom, two and half baths, three floors and a two car garage. The base price is in the mid $100s. Other floor plans include smaller square footage and three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms.
Throughout the city the housing product that seems to be in the highest demand is 50 foot wide or smaller lots, based on the top 10 selling subdivisions, which are building between $84 and $99 per square foot.
