The Pinal Board of Supervisors on Wednesday voted to accept the Western Landmark Foundation’s proposal to challenge federal agencies on the behalf of counties throughout the West.
The board votes 4-1 for their counterparts on the Board of Commissioners of Idaho County in the event legal action against the federal agencies is pursued. At issue is the question as to what level of government should manage lands within the states. Supporters of the Western Landmark Foundation believe states can do a better job.
