Sale of Marana housing project called ‘shot of confidence’

Homebuilder D.R. Horton has bought the remaining lots at a once-languishing housing development in northern Marana.

Originally called Saguaro Springs, the development near Twin Peaks and Rattlesnake Pass now goes by the name of Saguaro Bloom. Construction began in 2006 but the project was halted during the downturn.

In 2013, D.R. Horton bought the first 265 lots in the 700-acre development from Scottsdale-based Grayhawk Development.
