Tempe mayor hoping to take reservations for American Airlines headquarters

Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell is optimistic the office space American Airlines is vacating at US Airways’ former corporate headquarters can get filled.

American Airlines will empty 225,000 square feet at US Airways’ headquarters building at Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue at the end of next year when the lease is up, said spokesman Andrew Christie.

Mitchell is optimistic the downtown space will get filled.
