The population of Glendale keeps growing, becoming more diverse and educated, and recovering from the recession, according to 2014 figures the U.S. Census Bureau released Sept. 17.
The number of city residents grew 1.2 percent, from 234,618 in 2013 to 237,529 last year, according to the one-year estimates the Census Bureau released last week from its 2014 American Community Survey.
The median age in the community remained 34.2. Seniors account for 10.6 percent of the population and children under the age of 18 make up 27.3 percent.
