Complaints by Eloy officials apparently were what killed the prospect of a large egg farm operation locating in southern Coolidge.
Last month the Eloy City Council filed a complaint with the state over a proposed egg farm that could have been built in a new part of Coolidge near the Eloy city limits.
Coolidge Growth Management Director Rick Miller said the city had been working with property owner Jackob Andersen on the possibility of bringing in a factory just north of Houser Road and east of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. The Arizona Commerce Authority listed the land as a possible site for the company.
