Fired Pinal deputy fires back at Babeu in letter

Your attempt to further destroy my good name using social media is unnecessary. Since you took this path, I feel a response is required.

First I will talk about the “excessive force” incident.

Our dispatch was contacted by a parole officer who asked us to look for a subject who had approximately 15 warrants for his arrest and was known to be violent toward police. Our squad was given an 8 1/2 X 11 color picture of the suspect. As I passed by the subject, I recognized him. He fled from me. Once I ran him down, he turned away from me and began swallowing drug evidence, despite my commands for him to show me his hands. I ran to him and tackled him to the ground. I put handcuffs on his wrists.
