[OP-ED] Domestic violence too often goes unpunished

O.J. prosecutor: If we really want to honor victims of domestic violence, we’d ensure their attackers are punished for their crimes.

Too many domestic-violence cases involving abusers with money and power result in a misdemeanor guilty plea and no jail time

At times the only recourse that truly brings abusers to justice is prosecution in civil court

It is right and necessary to honor victims of domestic violence by making sure their attackers are punished
