State land aims to provide great service; legislators discuss education funding

Pinal PartnershipAt the monthly Pinal Partnership breakfast Friday morning, newly appointed Arizona State Land Commissioner Lisa Atkins shared updates and goals of the department.

Atkins spoke about state trust land and funding for the beneficiaries. Goals of the department that she outlined included providing great customer service and response times.

Representative T.J. Shope and Senator Steve Farley discussed the governor’s plan for addressing funding for schools, funding from the state land trust’s permanent fund, and settling the related lawsuit.

There were more than 150 in attendance at the breakfast that was moderated by Court Rich, Senior Partner at Rose Law Group.
