The Arizona Senate was still debating three bills at press time to fund K-12 education from the State Land Trust this morning. The chamber began discussion at 9 a.m.
The House late Thursday night approved the $3.5 billion education finance package aimed at settling a long-running lawsuit over education funding.
Republicans in the chamber unanimously supported all three measures in the package, while Democrats split the difference and supported one bill in the all-or-nothing deal, Arizona Capitol Times reported.
