The town of Marana’s plans to establish Tangerine Farms Road as the primary connection to the Marana Road interchange has led to notices of claim against the town by developers totaling $16.9 million.
Back in April, the Marana Town Council approved changes to the northwest Marana street plan that would establish Tangerine Farms Road as the primary connection to the Marana Road interchange. The Marana Interchange, as it is currently aligned, sees freeway access convene in a confusing manner with Sandario, the frontage road and Marana Road.
The changes were made for two reasons, but the biggest was safety.
