Here’s the economic equivalent of a Rorschach test.  Tell me what you think of this sentence  by the Republic’s EJ Montini and I tell you what your world view is.

A Saudi Arabian dairy company called Almarai purchased a large farm about 90 miles from Phoenix and has planted thousands of acres of alfalfa to make hay. It then ships the hay to Saudi Arabia to feed its cows.

If you understand anything about economics and water policy, (which Montini apparantly doesn’t) you will know that the sentence is explaining great news.
