Dem dark money group finally files campaign finance reports, avoids contempt hearing

A Democratic dark money group’s funding source is dark no more.

A five-year saga over the identity of the contributors who funded the Committee for Justice and Fairness’ ads against Tom Horne in the 2010 attorney general’s race ended on Monday after the group disclosed its contributors to the Secretary of State’s Office.

By doing so, the group avoided a contempt-of-court hearing for its refusal to comply with a months-old ruling by the Arizona Supreme Court.
