Celeste PlumleeSupervisors appoint Plumlee to Legislative District 26

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors this morning chose Democrat Celeste Plumlee as the newest representative from Legislative District 26.

Plumlee replaces Democratic Sen. Andrew Sherwood, who was appointed to the Senate from the House after former Sen. Ed Ableser took a job in Nevada.

Pancrazi opts not to seek re-election

Yuma Democrat Lynne Pancrazi won’t seek re-election to the Arizona Senate next year.

The two-term senator will instead run for an open seat on the Yuma County Board of Supervisors, she told the Arizona Capitol Times Monday afternoon. Pancrazi announced her decision at a dinner in Yuma on Dec. 3, where she also endorsed Rep. Lisa Otondo, D-Yuma, who’ll run for the open Senate seat in Legislative District 4.
